How to sanitize swimming pools

A swimming pool is a place where people engage in swimming, where people can move or compete. Most swimming pools are built on the ground and can be divided into general swimming pools and warm water swimming pools according to the water temperature. Due to the large flow of people in the swimming pool, it is very important to keep the swimming pool clean and healthy. The following are several disinfection methods,

1. Algae killing and algae inhibition

Add copper sulfate, under normal circumstances, it is advisable to add 2-3 kg per cubic water, twice a month (and the following steps can only be done 2 hours after the drug is added). However, with the increase of swimmers, some organic pollution will be brought, and the water quality will change when it rains, and algae will grow. At this time, it is necessary to add copper sulfate again. In addition, if you are dealing with new water, you must double the amount.

2. Sterilization and sterilization

Swimming pool water disinfection generally uses trichloroisocyanuric acid disinfection tablets or trichloroisocyanuric acid disinfection powder, and trichloroisocyanuric acid disinfectant (disinfection tablets or disinfection powder) is used for disinfection. After the end of the game, another one is carried out 1-2 hours before the opening. All chlorine-containing disinfectants are volatile, and the speed of volatilization is directly related to sunlight and temperature. In summer, the sun is fierce, and disinfectants are easy to volatilize in hot weather. Low temperature and no sunlight can keep the disinfectant longer, so that the swimming pool can be more thoroughly and effectively disinfected; the next day, according to the opening hours of each swimming pool, it can be inspected 1-2 hours before opening Chlorine. If the residual chlorine is low, you can add an appropriate amount of disinfectant to make the residual chlorine meet the hygienic requirements. If the disinfectant is added too early, it will be volatilized soon, and the residual chlorine will not meet the standard at the opening time.

2.1. How to use trichloroisocyanuric acid disinfection tablets

The chlorine content of the disinfection tablet is ≥50%. It is an instant tablet, which means that it will be dissolved in about 10 minutes after being sprinkled into the swimming pool. In order to make the residual chlorine in the swimming pool reach the standard and improve the water quality more effectively. Add 2-4 grams of disinfection tablets per cubic meter of water. (2-4KG/1000 cubic meters). After the disinfection tablet is added to the swimming pool, the calculation formula of residual chlorine (taking 2 grams in one cubic meter - one piece of disinfection tablet is used as an example)

2G*50%*1000=1000MG (available chlorine contained in 2 grams of disinfection tablets, unit, mg)

1000MG/1000L (1 cubic) = 1MG/L (also known as 1PPM)

That is to say, if one sterilizing tablet is added to 1 cubic meter, if it is not consumed, its theoretical concentration will be 1MGL.

Generally speaking, after adding disinfectant, the disinfectant will definitely interact with the bacteria and algae in the water (that is, part of it will be consumed by the organic matter in the water). The water quality of each swimming pool is different, so after adding the same number of disinfectant tablets, different swimming pools The measurable residual chlorine concentration is also different. If the water quality is good, the remaining chlorine should be high, and if the water quality is poor, the remaining chlorine should be low. Therefore, we suggest that when dosing at night, at least 2 kg/1000 cubic meters should be used. Add, if the water quality has turned green or white, it is best to increase the dosage.

It is best to add disinfection tablets to the swimming pool 0.5-1 hour in advance before opening. Before adding, the residual chlorine should be detected, and then the dosage should be calculated by adding 2 kg of disinfection tablets to 1000 cubic meters and increasing the ratio by 1MG/L. For example: to increase 0.5MG/L for a 500m3 swimming pool, add 0.5kg of disinfection tablets.
